We are excited to gather Piedmont Culinary's Tastemakers Group at Wild Hope Farm for an informative and fun afternoon exposing the roots of our local sustainable food system.
We'll kick off the visit with a tour of our farming operations where we're using organic practices and permaculture design to grow fresh vegetables, flowers, and pasture raised laying hens. Farm manager, Shawn Jardnicek will talk about building a bio-integrated farm that reduces energy use and increases time efficiencies through innovative design. You'll get a sneak peak at our automated farm share delivery service and learn how we are extracting the heat from our compost to power our greenhouse!
This talk extends beyond the farm to our local culinary partners - The tour will be followed by a cooking demo from a local chef and beverages supplied by Legal Remedy Brewery. The event is open for children of all ages. We will have t-shirts, reusable bags, and farm share for purchase!
This is a private event for the Tastemaker's group, to attend you must become a member through this link.
